Laura may have been let down by love when she was younger, but now she owns a successful business and both of her daughters are getting ready to get married. She's single and enjoys dating younger men until her future son-in-law's grumpy, motorcycle riding uncle comes to town is designated as her plus one for a week full of wedding events.
What I Liked:
I think it’s great that With This Fling features the mother figure of the ladies featured in the first four books of the Summersweet Island series and shares the story of how she found love too after a terrible experience with the father of her children. One of my favorite parts was when her daughter and son-in-law were exchanging vows referencing events that happened in the first book but they perfectly paralleled Laura and Dean’s situation.
What Bothered Me:
There are definitely some getting older topics and jokes that a younger reader might not appreciate.
Overall:
If you like romcoms featuring ridiculous supporting character, even if mature romance isn’t your normal thing, give With This Fling a try.
