What I Liked:
The quirks of the main character, Lucy, come through very well and add humor to the story. I loved the push/pull of their enemies to lovers relationship. Having read the related book, To Love Jason Thorn, I enjoyed the presence of Lucy’s best friend, Olive, and her husband, Jason, throughout the book.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
From a realism perspective, I wasn’t so sure that the love interest, Adam, would be ready to start a new serious relationship so soon after his divorce, even if he was truly over his wife. Also, the suspenseful event near the end with Lucy and Adam’s son, Aidan, didn’t quite sit well with me. I don’t think Adam needed it to come to terms with his feelings, and it didn’t appear to change anything for Lucy.

Overall:
I enjoyed the book and will add another Ella Maise book into the queue. I had needed a RomCom to change things up after reading a number of Fantasy Romance novels and this hit the spot.
