Everyone knows that Sloane and Lucian were neighbors growing up and now can't stand the sight of one another. What they don't know is what caused the 20-year-old feud that they are forced to set aside temporarily in order to remember the man they both loved, Sloane's dad.

What I Liked:
Knockemout is one of my favorite fictional small towns. Things We Left Behind doesn’t have quite as strong a presence of some of my favorite quirky side characters that live in town but some of the library anecdotes are pretty funny. I’d already had a bit of a crush on Lucian from the first two books in the series, so I was happy finally get to his story.

What Bothered Me:
I think I’ve read too many books recently that start with a death in the family, so it took a little longer than normal for me to be pulled into the story.

Overall:
Things We Left Behind is another great romantic suspense that wraps up the three-book Knockemout series. It’s perfect for all those dominant suit daddy lovers out there. In this case, I think it’s probably best to read the books in order because there is an overall story arc and side character arcs that go across all three.
