Olive seems to have the worst luck including recently losing her job, so when most of the guests at her sister's wedding get food poisoning, she decides that going on her sister's honeymoon trip to Maui for free is just the type of break she needs until her nemesis, the brother of the groom, decides to do too.

What I Liked:
I am from Minnesota, so I really enjoyed all the local references. I enjoyed the humor, but I can understand how it might not be for everyone. For example, there is the food poisoning scene which is very graphic and the Torres family is full of quirky, meddling people to which not everyone can relate easily.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
There were a couple of moments I was questioning why something happened but I think the overall storyline made sense even if it wasn’t apparent at the time.

Overall:
If you’ve ever thought of yourself as an extremely unlucky person and enjoy enemies to lovers, you might enjoy The Unhoneymooners. It did feel more like a women’s fiction though because the growth is centered on Olive and the major conflict to her relationship with Ethan is actually more of an external incident that causes a rift.
