Recently divorced Georgia is in charge of her grandmother's estate. She was a famous romance author and her mother convinces her to allow another author to give an ending to the unfinished story that was based off her grandmother's real life during WWII. The only problem is they want Noah to be that author and Georgia hates him at first sight.
What I Liked:
I was pulled in more to Scarlett’s love story during WWII than Georgia and Noah’s in the current time. The stakes were higher and it really tugged on the emotions, so it was hard to have the direct comparison. Switching between the two timelines did serve to heighten the suspense and motivate the reader to push through quickly.
Fair Warning:
There are a couple of super sad and emotional parts. Some of the characters in the historical timeline don’t have an HEA.
Overall:
Give The Things We Leave Unfinished a read when you’re in the mood for a bit of historical love story that will tug on your emotions mixed with a contemporary romance.
