Emma has been the primary caregiver for her father with serious medical conditions for the last ten years, but when the opportunity comes up to collaborate with her screenwriting idol, she simply can't pass it up. Unfortunately, Charlie Yates didn't know she was coming and has no intentions of writing with anyone even if his script is absolutely terrible.
What I Liked:
What can I say? The story about the FMC, Emma, teaching the MMC, Charlie, that love is important and really exists while writing a romcom screenplay was glorious. One of the reasons I love romance as a genre way more than women’s fiction or anything else is that I know no matter what the author decides to put the characters through, it WILL end in a happy ending. So, cheering on Emma as she passionately advocates for everything I love to read was all too easy.
What Bothered Me:
No matter their intentions, it was hard to read the couple of parts where characters said truly mean and hurtful things to each other.
Overall:
If you like romcoms, you have to check out The Rom-Commers, full stop.
