What I Liked:
I thought the Library of Borrowed Hearts was really cute. I liked that so many of the characters were book people. I think the dual timeline worked well to both move the story along and build anticipation in each timeline. It was also interesting to draw parallels between young Catherine and Jasper and current Chloe and Zach.

What Bothered Me:
I would categorize the ending as uplifing, maybe happy for now, but not really happily ever after.

Overall:
I think The Library of Borrowed Hearts can appeal to readers for many different reasons. There is an intriguing bookish mystery, romantic elements, and the dual timeline provide a slightly historical fiction viewpoint of what it was like to fall in love with someone with vastly different means sixty years ago.
