Stella is a genius that uses algorithms to predict customer purchases but her Asperger's makes it difficult to interact with others. When her mother puts pressure on her to provide grandbabies, she decides to hire male escort, Michael, to teach her how to be good at sex and be in a relationship.

What I Liked:
I think one of my favorite parts of the book was Michael’s very tight knit, but far from perfect Vietnamese family and the glimpses into their culture.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
I don’t know anyone with Asperger’s, but I’m assuming the representation with Stella is realistic knowing the author is diagnosed with the condition. Keeping that in mind, there were a lot more very awkward scenes for an adult romance than are usual. If you someone that suffers from any type of anxiety, this may be an uncomfortable read.

Overall:
I really like romances that feature strong, bright women in STEM, so The Kiss Quotient with Stella the econometrician fits that bill. I appreciated getting a glimpse of life from characters with cultural and neuro- diversity, but it may not be everyone’s thing.
