What I Liked:
I really liked the contrast of perspectives of living life knowing you have an infinite vs very limited amount of time left. I thought it was a nice story arc of taking Addie from being a simple uneducated woman in the 1700s to an worldly invisible influence in the 21st century. The sprinkling of notes on the famous pieces of art she inspired was a nice touch.
What Bothered Me:
I have conflicting feelings about the ending. I respect what the author chose, but as a lover of the romance genre, I would have loved to see the relationship between Addie and Henry conclude differently.
Overall:
If you enjoy literary fiction and historical fantasy, you will likely enjoy the The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue as it transports you back to 1714 and gives you snapshots of conditions and events through history to the current era and gives a new perspective on an individual trying to leave their mark on the world.
