A band of women from a variety of backgrounds work as pack horse librarians delivering books and so much more to the people in their county as they bond over life's circumstances.
What I Liked:
I really enjoyed hearing how such different women could come together and support each other as they made their dreams a reality. The writing was so immersive that I almost cried at a particularly emotional moment.
What I Didn’t Really Like:
I was confused by the the character of Alice’s husband, Bennett. He was so weak and naive that it almost wasn’t believable.
Overall:
Anyone that like historical fiction should definitely grab this book.
