Eden has always been her father's favorite and was educated as well as any male so when she meets her intellectual equal in Julius, she knows she's in trouble. Things only get worse when she finds herself compromised and Julius tries to do the honorable thing.
What I Liked:
This book put me in such a good mood! It brought back wonderful memories of reading all of Austen’s novels when I was younger but was written more in line with the current historical romance style (i.e., there are some steamy bits).
What I Didn’t Really Like:
The reaction of Eden’s dad when she leaves for London broke my heart a little.
Overall:
If you are a fan of Jane Austen or historical romance, you should definitely check out The Black Knight. Just be very away that this is one of two books and you will want to have the second book on hand to jump into right away when you finish this one.
