Wren had a major crush on the local baseball star. When he was drafted to a pro team 3000 miles away, she had a one night stand that turned her into a single mother. She never regretted it, but she also doesn't know how to deal with Shepherd showing up out of the blue.

What I Liked:
I thought Swing and a Mishap was a humorous read. I was chuckling out loud through the whole thing. I absolutely love that Shepherd is this super-masculine pro athlete that also knows how to craft.

What I Didn’t Like:
It always seems to surprise me that it takes so long to get to the actual physical intamacy when the beginning is filled with dirty thoughts and fantasies. I suppose it serves to build the anticipation. There was a small thing that my brain flagged as a problem. College coaches need to be super careful to follow NCAA rules when talking to minors (especially without a guardian present), but I tried to assume that what happens somehow falls into an exception so I could focus on the story.

Overall:
I would recommend if you like romance and have any interest whatsoever in baseball. Baseball knowledge is not really essential to understand the plot, but the puns won’t be nearly as funny.
