Hallie feels lost after the death of her grandmother and starts acting irrationally as she gets to know her teenage crush through a series of anonymous letters.
What I Like:
If only we could all learn to embrace our flaws and realize life wouldn’t be nearly as eventful without them. Seriously though, one of the most memorable thing about this book is Julian’s epic dirty talk.
What I Didn’t Like:
The female lead, Hallie, kind of annoyed me. I’m much more like Julian, but I never fell in love with Hallie, so her quirks never became endearing. Also, the representation of Julian’s breakthrough with his anxiety in the end felt a little unrealistic. That’s usually a long, slow road to follow.
Overall:
Maybe you’ll be like me and have trouble connecting to the story, but it’s probably still worth a read if you like Grumpy/Sunshine romances. Enjoy the dirty talk.
