What I Liked:
As should be predicted based on the previous two books in the series, Scythe and Sparrow was absolutely nuts, but in a good way. I mean, I may not look at cotton candy the same ever again and I never liked haunted houses anyways. The tone was slightly different because Rose isn’t an experienced serial killer and the situations she gets herself into are the source of the all the dark humor. Barbara, the racoon, could possibly be my favorite character, but the suture sisters are a close second.

Fair Warning:
Based on the blurb, I was expecting more of a theme of Fionn having to get over the ex he left in Boston, but his growth was focused elsewhere.

Overall:
Scythe and Sparrow is a must read for lovers of dark humor. It may not be the best fit for pacifists or those that are squeamish.
