Shooting Camille was the only mistake assassin Max Levin has ever made. She survived and now he feels obligated to protect her when she received death threats due to her father's political career.

What I Liked:
Camille is a great character that proves that outward appearances can be deceiving. She’s not your typical socialite, regardless for how she appears in public.

What I Didn’t Like:
There were a few proofreading errors sprinkled throughout that were a little distracting.

Overall:
Michelle Heard is one of my go to authors for when I’m in the mood for something a little dark. However, this one was not one of my favorites. The sex scenes were really aggressive and erotic asphyxiation just isn’t my thing. As with all of her books, do pay attention to the trigger warnings. In general, I love the world of organized crime and St. Monarch’s that she’s created and will definitely continue reading the Corrupted Royals series.
