It feels like Harper has been in love with her brother's best friend, Knox, forever. It was awkward before he moved away, but now that he's back and agreeing to do whatever it takes to help Harper foster her pre-k student and baby brother after their mother dies everything is escalated to a whole new level. It doesn't help that Knox is working with her brother to re-establish the town's hotshot firefighter crew and doesn't…
What I Liked:
I loved that Harper and Knox’s fake relationship was founded on doing something so amazing as keeping two young brother’s from being separated in the system after their mom dies. It felt like a wholesome and good foundation instead of the usual situation needing to marry for an inheritance or something (not that I don’t like reading that every once in a while too).
Fair Warning:
I didn’t predict the conflict and resulting outcome very well, but it’s nice to be surprised once in a while.
Overall:
Check out Reason to Believe the next time you’re in the mood for a good brother’s best friend trope featuring a hot firefighter.
