Adeline is a ballet student in NYC and forms an instant connection with Leo while she's reeling over the actions of her ex. Some bad press threatens to ruin her dreams of dancing professionally and as her world spirals she has to make difficult decisions.

What I Liked:
Reading Point of Breaking reminded me a lot of my teenage love for Center Stage. I never studied ballet though, so I have no idea whether the descriptions included are an accurate representation of what it’s like to be a ballerina.

What Bothered Me:
The characters are both highly emotional and maybe a tad over-dramatic, but it is a New Adult contemporary romance.

Overall:
If you like high angst and think the mix of poor ballerina plus high society college student sounds like a good combo, you should check out Pointe of Breaking. I would note that this is not a romcom like some of Amy Daws’ other books.
