What I Liked:
J.R. Ward really built up the suspense leading up to Phury hurting Cormia. You know it’s coming but then the story diverts to other things for a while, so the tension builds and builds. It really made me want to push through to find out how devastated she would be. That sounds kind of bad but it’s a romance so I knew there would be an HEA and they would get back together eventually.
What I Didn’t Really Like:
I struggle with the odd spelling of names and some of the slang used in the dialogue. Listening to the audio book instead of reading helps slightly.
Overall:
If you like vampire romance series, Black Dagger Brotherhood is one to add to your list.
