As a second son left to make his own way in the world, Ransom has been subject the manuevering of players at court since he was a boy. He trains to be a knight and holds true to his oaths despite events that continually challenge his loyalty.
What I Liked:
Jeff Wheeler is my go to author for clean epic fantasy. I had Knight’s Ransom playing in the car as I was running my kids to their various activities and they enjoyed it as much as I did. I like how some of the inspiration for plot events comes from real historical references.
What I Didn’t Like:
Even Claire makes fun of it, but at times Ransom seemed so dense it was frustrating.
Overall:
If you’re a fan of historical fantasy and Arthurian legends, Knight’s Ransom should be added to your tbr.
