Heat Rating:
Eva's left her as an infant, but her father instilled a love of flavors from an early age that she developed through the challenges she faced growing up in the midwest.

What I Liked:
The storytelling technique was very interesting. Each chapter highlights a dish and is told from the perspective of a different character, none of which are main character. We learn about Eva’s journey through the eye’s of the individuals around her.

What I Didn’t Like:
The ending made me a little sad. It was pretty open ended but not exactly promising for a HEA for all the characters we got to know in the book.

Overall:
Generally, I prefer romance over women’s fiction because I like wrapped up happy endings. However, this was a nice to read something a little different. If you’re a foodie that cares about the source of your ingrediants or from the Midwest, you should give this book a read. It even includes a few recipes!
