Pal is a professional golfer who tanked his career after an epic meltdown is caught on camera. He decides to go to the only place that's ever felt like home to lie low and try to get the only girl he's ever wanted. The problem is, she doesn't know why he stopped all communication with her two years ago.

What I Liked:
I loved all of the dirty golf puns at the beginning of each chapter and sprinkled throughout. The set up of the story in the beginning of the book did a great job of drawing me in with all the conflict and unknowns.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
It was a little unrealistic to believe that both Pal and Birdie were completely oblivious to other having such strong feelings. For as much descriptive fantasies being portrayed, I was surprised at how long it took for the couple to actually get together.

Overall:
If you have any interest in golf whatsoever and like romantic reads, you should definitely check this one out.

The Last Word:

I finished Spare Me, the sixth and last book in the Summersweet Island series and it was a great way to wrap up a fun romcom series. I would highly recommend the series to anyone looking for a fun, lighthearted, spicy set of related standalones. Most of them have sport themes, but vary the sport and hit on well-loved tropes. I think it’s best to read them in order so they make the most sense, but it’s probably not completely necessary. I’ll be adding more books by Tara Sivec to my TBR.
