Leena is an exiled beast charmer trying to find a way to go back home but is forced to make a deal with the guild of undead assassins when a fellow charmer puts a hit out on her.

What I Liked:
There was a lot to like in Kingdom of Exiles including great world building with magical steam-punk vibes and characters that have lots of depth and secrets. It felt like you were peeling away the layers on the characters as you went along but there are still plenty that remain to entice you to continue reading the series.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
Nothing specific comes to mind. Although, at the time of this review, only the first book of the trilogy is available on Kindle Unlimited, so it’s not as easy as I had hoped to dive into the next book.

Overall:
I truly enjoyed reading this book. It was very close to getting a five-star rating from me. The blurb describes it as a cross between Assassin’s Creed and Fantastic Beasts, which I think is a great description. I think anyone that enjoys fantasy adventure should give this book a shot.
