After being abandoned again by her childhood friend, Bex moves to live with family in Paris for a few months before starting college. She agrees to a date to get over Court, the boy her heart won't let go, but he might be the only one that help get her out of the whole new mess she's found herself in.

What I Liked:
Despite loving one another since they were children, Bex and Court are put through multiple trials which makes it feel like they really earn their relationship in the end. They definitely don’t have it easy. I also think it was refreshing that their first time being intimate together isn’t 100% perfect.

Fair Warning:
The story features combatting human trafficking and has some other potential triggers. I also think Bex could have made Court work a little bit harder for forgiveness, but it all worked out.

Overall:
If you’re looking for a spicy dark romance filled with suspense, check out Into the Woods. It technically comes after the Mad World trilogy and will definitely make more sense if you’re read it recently, but there’s enough background that it isn’t strictly necessary.
