Anastasia is a pairs figure skater trying to make it to the next olympics but her precious routine is impacted when hockey team suddenly needs to share their rink because theirs is out of commission after the result of a prank. She wants to direct her anger at them, especially the captain Nate Hawkins, but they might be just what she needs when she needs space from her controlling skating partner.

What I Liked:
Nate might make my list of favorite book boyfriends. He’s got looks, talent, and skills in the bedbroom, but also the heart of gold when it comes to his close friends. I was laughing out loud when I imagined this huge hockey player trying to squeeze into tight leggings and figure skates.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
My heart really wanted to see Nate’s relationship with his dad improve signifianctly. Although, that what happens with a few other characters kind of felt like they were intentionally left unresolved because they may come up in other books.

Overall:
This is a good sports romance that is a little heavier on the figure skating than the hockey and does a good job delving into the pressures of extremely highly performing athletes in a college setting.
