What I Liked:
The book was very well written and I love that the author’s intent was to help normalize kink and consensual sex work. Introducing the male protagonist, Dayton, to the world of BSDSM provided a very natural way to provide the information to an uninformed reader without it feeling like over-explaining.
What I Didn’t Really Like:
Most of the book flips between chapters in the present and the past. Both timelines are fully of suspense with few breaks where things calm down, so be prepared for hours of being on edge.
Overall:
If you like thrillers, are curious about BDSM, and are okay with the trigger warnings, Hurt for Me should be on your tbr. It may be less interesting for those more familiar with the lifestyle.
