Adelaide is part of a band of women attempting to right the wrongs of society and unintentionally gets her hands on a box the Duke of Clayborn will do anything to get back. Their paths tangle and then entwine as they separately seek to protect the Duke's brother and new wife, both finding that the other is more than they first seem.
What I Liked:
I find myself having a massive crush of Henry Carrington, Duke of Clayborn. He’s like the Victorian era equivalent of a billionaire bad boy MMC so it only makes sense he would fall for the princess of theives from the wrong side of town.
What Bothered Me:
I’m still curious how things will work out with Adelaide’s dad. That resolution felt a bit on the easy side, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he comes back as a character in subsequent books in the Hell’s Belles series.
Overall:
If you’re a fan of Victorian era Historical Romance featuring strong females who don’t give a hoot about societal expectations, then you will enjoy Heartbreaker or any of the Hell’s Belles novels.
