Knight is a dark magic prince sent to Rathe University on Earth to learn to co-exist with humans only to encounter the mystery that is London Crow who appears to be his fated mate, but that shouldn't be possible.

What I Liked:
The plot pulled me in more from an awe factor than anything else. I can’t tell you how many times I gasped out loud or thought “No Way!” as I was reading. I have new wrinkles on my forehead from my eyebrows being raised so much. The cliffhanger from the first book left me so angry that I pushed hard through the second book in the duet desperately hoping that what happened was some type of misdirection that would be resolved in a more pleasant manner.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
The crude language and portrayal of physically intimate scenes fit with the authors’ intended tone, but it was a little rough for my personal tastes. There are a few inconsistencies sprinkled about as well.

Overall:
First of all, readers should investigate and abide by all the trigger warnings associated with the duet, because there are MANY. If you can get passed that and enjoy dark romantic fantasy, start with Fate of a Royal and be prepared with Fate of a Faux to immediately follow. You won’t want a break in between. This is one of those stories where things get so crazy you question whether a HEA is really possible until it all pulls together in the end.
