Ursula doesn't remember anything before she was found in a burning church when she was 15. She was focused on keeping a roof over her head until she turns 18 and a hellhound comes to collect her soul. She must play the games of the gods and find out who she really is.

Review on the Shadows and Flame series.
What I Liked:
Ursula’s amnesia and the unknowns around her past make it easy for the suspense to be kept high and makes you want to keep reading.

What I Didn’t Like:
There’s not a whole lot to find fault with. I was kind of hoping that we would see some kind of physical transformation in Ursula, but she has plenty of character development. I did feel like the situation with Kester was left slightly unresolved though.

Overall:
The series easily meets all the normal expectations for a slow burn (not super spicy) paranormal romance. I read the first three books pretty quickly and slowed a little on the fourth, but that’s typical of me to lose steam after the couple gets together.
