Eleanor's life was completely predictable until her computer dies and she meets Raymond the IT guy whom she reluctantly befriends while he quietly challenges her to step out of her ordinary routine.
What I Liked:
Eleanor is a very unique and interesting character. The story pulls you in and makes the reader want to find out how unusually she will react to the next ordinary situation.
What I Didn’t Like:
Many reviews tout it as a humorous read. I found the subject to be a little too serious to be all that funny.
Overall:
I think Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine is an interesting read. It’s very unique and not like anything else I’ve read. Eleanor has a very strong development arc and it’s uplifting that she is able to overcome the impacts of her past. Just keep in mind that she is battling some very real issues that may make this not the best read for some.
