Riley grew up in the foster system and new had it easy but her life takes an unexpected turn when she starts dreaming of creatures that shouldn't exist.

What I Liked:
I liked how the story built to include move POVs as those characters were introduced. I find too many POVs can be difficult to follow, but Centaur Rift expanded gradually to include more characters.

What Bothered Me:
There were a few comments and thoughts of characters that hit me as odd or inconsistent while reading.

Overall:
If you are a voracious reader of paranormal romance, you might want to check out the Warrior Hearts Academy series; however, I would start with Pheonix Fall. When I started Centaur Rift, I was under the impression it was the first book of a trilogy. After finishing, I found out it was actually the fourth book of the series but the first featuring the female protagonist, Riley. Knowing that helps explain why I had the funny feeling I was missing some background during the first half of the book. I will also note that Centaur Rift does end in a cliffhanger; although, it’s a good one that leaves you wanting to know what happens next without desire to strangle the author.
