What I Liked:
I really liked how the two main characters, Emmy and Owen, balanced each other out and soothed over the other’s rough spots and unrealistic expectations. I also liked the overall message about how romance doesn’t need to look like some crazy, big, expensive grand gesture, but the intent behind thoughtful actions can be just as impactful. Also, who doesn’t love a good fireman’s calendar.
What Bothered Me:
I was a little thrown by the mix of both very real literary references and others that I believe were completely made up.
