What I Liked:
I like the world of Avalon Bay and the group of friends to which Evan and Gen belong. I liked the idea of two people in a toxic relationship working on themselves so that they could eventually be in a healthy relationship together.
What Bothered Me:
Evan’s reformation seemed a little too easy. Yes, some of his underlying issues seemed to get better with the developments regarding his mother, but it kind of seemed like he flipped a switch and didn’t struggle to avoid his typical destructive behavior.
Overall:
Bad Girl Reputation is interesting from the perspective of it being a new adult contemporary romance in a college town without any of the main characters attending college. If you want to see two characters go from troublemakers to model citizens with plenty of drama along the way, then you may enjoy it. I would recommend reading the first book in the series Good Girl Complex first as quite a few plot points are a continuation from that story.
