Persephone is a powerless goddess living as a mortal journalism student when she unintentionally gets wrapped up in a contract with the feared god Hades. As she spends more time in the Underworld, she sees a different side of Hades and questions her original perceptions.

What I Liked:
The world created in A Touch of Darkness is an interesting mismash of modern society with the Greek Pantheon alive and interfering in the lives of mortals.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
I can see why some readers aren’t really a fan of Persephone. Her backstory has her in isolation for the first 18 years of her life, so she is naive to the extreme and a little more rules by emotions than the typical person.

Overall:
I think this will be more enjoyable for a reader looking for a spicy fantasy romance rather than a true officianado of Greek Mythology.
