Sera has lost the trust of Nyktos and his court and is forced to figure out what she wants to do now that her life's purpose is no longer what she thought

What I Liked:
Talk about a complicated relationship, Sera and Nyktos are in a league of their own. I was rooting them on the entire book, but there was always something holding them back. The sense of hurt and betrayal is so much more delicious when you can feel the underlying love and good intentions. I also had fun trying to pick out the little details that would come into play with Poppy and Cas in the Blood and Ash series that takes place in the future.

What I Didn’t Like:
I get sad when characters I like end up dying, but I understand that will happen with the gods are at war.

Overall:
A Light in the Flame is another excellent installment of the Flesh and Fire series. Make sure you have enough time set aside to thoroughly enjoy it. I cannot wait to move onto the next book.
