A Crown of Gilded Bones
Poppy and Cas face a series of trials together as she slowly finds out the truth of who she is and the lengths she’ll go to in order to protect those she loves. How I came to read this book: The second book of the series left me with soooo many questions. It wasn’t an option not to start reading the next book.

What I Liked:
After reading the first three mammoth books in the series, I am thoroughly invested in finding out how this series will play out. Even with the clues and hints the author leaves, I haven’t been able to guess all the twists and turns the plot takes.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
I would like to see a little bit more development of the secondary characters. The story is very focused on Poppy and Cas.

Overall:
We’re moving on from just vampires and shifters to adding gods and deities. The series is still worth the read, just plan appropriately for 659 pages.
