Heat Rating:
Feyre is back in the Spring Court pretending she wants to be there when really she is secretly gathering intel and seeking vengeance upon those that dared target her family. But, all is not as it seems as King Hybern brings his armies to Prythian to conquer Fae and humans alike and it will cost everything to stop him.

What I Liked:
Sometimes I lose interest after the two main characters get together because that’s my favorite part of the relationship arc. However, A Court of Wings and Ruin kept things interesting with the budding relationships of the many secondary characters and we finally learn why some of the characters are the way they are.

What Bothered Me:
The ending bothered me a little. There’s a huge sense of finality at the end of A Court of Wings and Ruin to the point that I wondered if there was a question whether there would be any further books. Yes, there are some things left open but there are no huge cliffhangers making me want to jump right into the next book.

Overall:
A Court of Wings and Ruin is perfect for fantasy readers that love good battle scenes. War is the theme of this book with all of the scheming and surprises that keep in a state of high suspense.
