Heat Rating:

Tamlin's efforts to protect her from any potential danger do more harm than good. It's the bargain she made with Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court, that offers her the respite she needs. She must either continue wasting away with the male she thought she loved or…

What I Liked:
I am experiencing a book hangover after finishing a Court of Mist and Fury. The second half was so good, I didn’t want it to end. I’m so glad there is more to Rhysand than what we saw in the first book and now he’s one of my favorite characters in the series.

What Bothered Me:
Feyre’s period of depression at the beginning was challenging to read. While Tamlin was never physically abusive to Feyre, that’s what the dynamic between them reminded me of with his claims of love while enforcing an environment that was unhealthy for her.

Overall:
I really enjoyed A Court of Mist and Fury and would advise anyone starting the series to try to go in as blind as possible. The story in the second book shifts so much from the first and the revelations will be more profound if you don’t know what’s coming.
