The Scoundrel (Club Southside Book 1)

What I Liked:Kingston Coltraine is an amazing name for the male protagonist. The suspense level is high right away due to the stalker situation and there is a nice twist at the end. It is very steamy from start to finish.

What I Didn’t Really Like:My least favorite part was that the epilogue didn’t have anything to do with the main characters. Instead, it was a teaser for the next book in the series featuring Royce. We didn’t get the typical glimpse into the HEA for King and Samantha.

Overall:It is very subtle, but if you look at the cover you will notice the C in in the title is actually a flogger and the B has a ball gag. It’s not very clear from the synopsis, but Club Southside is a lifestyle club, as in the BDSM lifestyle. This is a story about a D/s relationship where both parties were already familiar with the lifestyle. It kind of took me by surprise, but once I adjusted my expectations, it was a quick and very steamy read.
