As teenagers, Rafe and Jeremy disappeared from a West Virginia state park for six months with no explanation. Fifteen years later, Emily seeks out the services of Jeremy who is famed at finding women and girls to help solve a family mystery. When her mother dies, Emily finds out she has an older half-sister who was lost in the same state park before the boys. Jeremy reluctantly agrees but they need to convince Rafe to help even though they haven't spoken since their rescue. Emily has no clue she's asked to venture into a fairy tale.

What I Liked:
The Lost Story has both a second chance M/M romance and a finding sisters story. There is a good balance of serious topics and reasons why the boys wanted to escape the real world as teenagers and whimsy in the fantastical world of Shanandoah.
Fair Warning:
There is a storyteller that makes frequent narrator interruptions.
Overall:
Pick up The Lost Story if you like the Chronicles of Narnia as a kid or Fairytale by Stephen King or just like the idea of secret doorways into magical worlds.
