Love Letters for Other People

REVIEW POSTED ONLINE: AUG 22, 2026
After a co-worker betrays her at work, Aubrey goes back to small town Indiana to figure out how to get her dream job back. She hits it off with Gallant who liked her in high school, but also runs into Nick who completely shattered her heart. Gallant seems superficial in person but gives her gorgeous love letters full of emotion just like the ones Nick used to leave her. She's forced to confront her feelings for Nick if she has any hope of moving forward with Gallant and the rest of her life.

REVIEW
What I Liked:
The writing was lyrical which only heightened the emotions of a gut wrenching story. The dual timelines served to really increase the tension until we finally found out what happened between Aubrey and Nick to destroy an epic sort of young love. I enjoyed the unexpected combination of Nick being someone who constantly gets into fights with his fists and yet writes the most beautiful love letters.
Fair Warning:
The story has a ton of betrayal in it, like four separate cases.
Overall:
Love Letters for Other People will appeal to those who like highly emotional stories like most of Colleen Hoover's books. In some ways the story also reminded me of Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren. It will definitely appeal to anyone thinks love letters are romantic.
