Lucie is a single-mom, mechanic living in Baltimore who catches her pre-teen daughter calling into a radio station to get dating advice for her. The heartfelt conversation she has with the host goes viral and the station reaches out to have her join the show for a series focused on finding her the magical love she's after. Lucie reluctantly agrees but that means she'll spend a lot of time in a tiny audio booth with the show's attractive host.

REVIEW

What I Liked:
I lived in Baltimore while going to college, so I enjoyed all of the regional references and I've been craving Berger's cookies since I finished. A friend convinced me to read this one because it had Sleepless in Seattle vibes, and she was right. There's something freeing about sharing your truth on the radio with a complete stranger.

Fair Warning: It is fairly well labeled, but First-Time Caller is a cozy romance so the stakes aren't super high. It's good to grab when you need a break from intense, life-and-death situations.

Overall:
While billionaire romance is great and fun, sometimes it's nice to read about characters that are just normal people you could find anywhere. First-Time Caller is all about finding the magic in the lives we lead. The best grand gestures come from the heart.

Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)

Heat Index: 🔥🔥🔥 (3/5)
