REVIEW POSTED ONLINE: MAY 09, 2026

After being the target of a school shooting, Eve changes her last name and transfers to the most secure school in the country. Recovering from her trauma is hard enough, but then she's blamed for hurting another student in a fight and forced to move with five gorgeous guys into a rundown house on the edge of campus as punishment. She's stuck with the overbearing males and quickly learns there's more to them than they show everyone else.

REVIEW

What I Liked:
I loved how each of the six main characters has so many layers and secrets that the reader starts to unravel as the story progresses. Even the main character Eve has secrets essentially from herself and I can't wait to figure out why her dad really abaonded her as a child. Even though it's a why choose, none of the relationships form effortlessly and the barriers with each MMC are all different.

Fair Warning:
Every single character has gone through some major trauma, be prepared for dark and heavy.

Overall:
I finished Forced Proximity in a single day, which isn't a huge surprise because Jaymin Eve and Tate James are two of my favorite authors. The second book of the duology comes out in three weeks and the suspense is absolutely killing me.

Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)

Heat Index: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (5/5)
