Cat may not know who her father is but she blames him for ruining her mother's life. She started hunting vampires as a teenager hoping one day she might have her vengeance until the night Bones gets the best of her. Instead of killing her, he offers her a deal to train and help him take down a group of "bad" vampires.

REVIEW
What I Liked:
Halfway to the Grave reminded me of the good old days watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel only Cat is a little older starting college instead of high school. I enjoyed the mix of moments where Cat gets herself into enough trouble she needs saving and where she shows how strong she has become.
Fair Warning:
Unlike some series of a similar length, Night Huntress is not a slow burn where barely anything happens with the love interest until multiple books in.
Overall:
Start Halfway to the Grave when you're in the mood for vampire slaying and an FMC who starts out unsure and naive but learns to be a bad@ss.
Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
