REVIEW

What I Liked:I appreciated the diverse spectrum of grief and loss that is portrayed through all the characters in When the Rain Ends. The story explores what it's like to lose a loved one but also the fears of losing one's independence due to a medical condition. It's a reminder that we have all experienced some kind of loss and we each react differently.

What I Didn't Really Like:I was a little confused about Anna and the jar. The details may have been intentionally left vague to allow reader interpretation.

Overall:For a book that had a lot to do with grief, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a depressing story. It was reaffirming and motivating that people can live through all sorts of terrible experiences and still find the good in life on the other side.
