REVIEW
What I Liked:
I was looking for a spooky read in October and Grimstone was the perfect choice. Sophie Lark did an excellent job building the tension throughout and leaving the author wondering whether Blackleaf Manor was legitimately haunted. Most of the story takes place in the month of October and there's even a Halloween themed festival in the town of Grimstone, which provide the perfect backdrop to this ghostly tale.
Fair Warning:
Definitely check out the trigger warnings before reading. It's a pretty dark story.
Overall:
While it is certainly different than the other books I've read by Sophie Lark, Grimstone was exactly what I was looking for in a read leading up to Halloween. It's a thriller that left me guessing until the very end.
