In college, Stella wasn't ready for love, but that didn't stop Samuel from exceeding all her expectations until the moment it ended in brutal spectacular fashion. Nine years later, they are both in Italy to celebrate a mutual friend's wedding. While enjoying the scenery and copious amounts of amazing food, Stella realizes that spark she felt never really went away but she has to question whether her stance on love as changed.

REVIEW
What I Liked:The dual timeline in Recipe for Second Changes works well to build the anticipation and suspense leaving the reader wondering what could have possibly happened in the past that resulted in Stella and Samual feeling so anxious and awkward to see each other after nine years. I thought the backdrop of an Italian and Indian wedding for a mutual friend in idyllic Italy enriched the story with cultural details and all the descriptions of the food left me feeling starving.
Fair Warning:While it is a romance, I'd say it's first and foremost a women's fiction story so Stella's character development dominates the end of the story.
Overall:If you liked People We Meet on Vacation or have ever really wanted to travel to Italy and like romance, check out Recipe for Second Chances.
