Lark appears to be made of glitter and light but when Lachlan agrees to marry her in a deal that will finally allow him to retire from his job as an assassin, he starts to see the shadows that lie underneath her shiny exterior. The real Lark is more enticing than he ever anticipated.

REVIEW
What I Liked:I really liked Lachlan Kane's character. I love a good bad boy with a heart of gold. As a long-time Keanu Reeves fan, I enjoyed the many references throughout the story.
What Bothered Me:I was listening to the audiobook and had to pause it because I was eating a snack when it got to a particularly gruesome scene that had me gagging.
Overall:If you liked Butcher & Blackbird, you will probably enjoy Leather & Lark although the vibe is slightly different. Whereas I thought the first book in The Ruinous Love Trilogy was so darkly absurd it was funny, the second book felt more realistic in some ways and the epilogue features a sad cliffhanger.
