Sloane is still grieving the death of her fiance when a dog jumps into her car. After weeks of trying to get a hold of his owner Jason, he finally responds but he's in Australia so Sloane agrees to watch the dog she had already decided to keep. Jason and Sloane easily form a connection but with her still grieving and his music career taking him on an extended tour it doesn't seem like anything…

What I Liked:
I think my favorite parts where the crazy method in which Sloane and Jason got in contact and the very uncontentional but ultimately sweet meet cute in person. It was funny and outlandish but also still believable, like some crazy story friends would share over dinner.

What Bothered Me:
Rockstar romance isn’t my favorite and it can be hard for me to read about some of the completely toxic and horrendous things that can happy in the industry. I was glad that Jason himself was a pretty clean and wholesome character

Overall:
I generally really like books by Abby Jimenez. I’m from Minnesota originally so all the references that remind me of home give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Despite this being a rockstar romance and having instalove, I enjoyed The Happy Ever After Playlist more than I thought I would.
