Heat Rating:
Sam finds out the new principal of her school is the same guy she admired from afar and left the state to get over only the fun-loving guy she knew is now an administrator obsessed with safety. While her first instinct is to run again, she decides to stay and fight to uphold the creative ideals the school was built upon.

What I Liked:
I enjoyed the tight-knit community and sense of found family that Sam built in the school where she worked as the librarian. It’s nice to see a group of people that are truly passionate about what they do.

What Bothered Me:
There was a lot of content about the origins and transformation of the school, almost as if it had it’s own separate character development arc.

Overall:
It wasn’t my favorite from Katherine Center. If you enjoy women’s fiction and characters overcoming challenging situations and traumatic events, then you might enjoy it.
