Sonya's world is turned upside down by a cheating ex-fiance and then she's notified that she's inherited a victorian mansion in Maine from an uncle she didn't know existed. Needing a new start, she decides to move there for a trial period only to discover strange occurrences happening forcing her to consider that the mansion may actually be haunted.

What I Liked:
I really liked the close relationship the FMC, Sonya, has with her bestfriend, Cleo. Also, I enjoyed the vast number of music references. I thought they were fun.

What I Didn’t Really Like:
There were two little things that bothered me as I was reading. First, the structure of the dialogue left me wondering who said some lines and I had to re-read those passages mulitiple times to figure it out. Second, There was more re-hashing than I enjoy, as in something happens when the FMC is alone, then she describes it to her friend, and then later to another person.

Overall:
I have been wanting to read something by Nora Roberts for a while and this book was well-recommended so I picked it up knowing it was about haunted house with a mystery. I should have known better, because I don’t enjoy ghost stories. They are just not for me. If you like ghost stories and mysteries, then this might be a good pick for you. However, I don’t think I will plan to try another Nora Roberts book rather than finish out this trilogy.
